Fire Alarm Maintenance & Servicing

The installation of a fire alarm system is a legal requirement for commercial premises. It is important to have the correct equipment designed and installed in your building.

Once the system is up and running, it will require regular maintenance. Regular checks on your fire alarm system is important to ensure that staff or visitors are given an adequate warning should fire break out and that they can evacuate the building safely. Our maintenance contract includes a regular check on your system. We will make sure it is in optimal working order and that it complies with the standards set out in law. APS Security and Fire keep appropriate records in order to have the information available regarding the system’s age and maintenance history.

We check the wiring to make sure it is not damaged or worn and we test the alarm itself to ensure it is performing as it should. Our qualified technicians will visit your premises on a designated time, so as not to cause any disruption in the workplace. We also provide 24 hour emergency cover.



It was only by chance that we originally made contact with APS. We already had a fire suppression system from another supplier for our live server room. We had a requirement for two new systems but our original supplier didn't seem interested. So we found APS as another local company and invited them to tender for the work. From the first meeting with Ash, it was obvious he and APS knew their stuff and were very professional. The installation engineers were professional and explained how it all worked post install. The service team always gets in touch to check when the services are convenient for us and books the appointments for us. The same engineers service the installations as well so they are always familiar with the sites, installations and our H&S policies and procedures. I recently asked our account manager, Ash, if it would be possible for them to take over maintenance and support of our original installation from the other supplier. He explained the process, got costs together and managed the changeover process everything went smoothly. APS do a great job of supporting and maintaining all of our fire suppression systems which brings with it definite peace of mind.

The companies that I inherited where not up to scratch, they would never repair our systems when we had called them out. APS and Chris are fantastic at what they do, the technical knowledge from sales to engineers is second to none. They came to site and repaired 98% of all issues they where called out for and I was told what need to be done to correct the other 2% of issues. . I can not recommend them highly enough. APS were very slightly more costly than the other quotes BUT were far superior in their presentation. Chris Bee, their rep, was exceptionally helpful - had all the right advice and offered very good suggestions. We needed a fast installation as Chubb had let us down and APS had the new system in an working within three days.
